The duties in the PIU involve two main areas of my activities:
a) Administrative support to the PIU
b) Financial / Disbursement Expert of the PIU

· Monitor and report the project financial implementation and budget observance;
· Be responsible for fulfilling the reporting obligations under the Financing documents in time;
· Monitor and follow-up the status of conditions precedent to disbursement set out in the Financing documents that have to be met and notify the relevant responsible officials;
· Track compliance with all continuing time dependent and repeating covenants, warranties and representations;
· Verify issued Payment Certificates and supporting documentation;
· Prepare disbursement requests in accordance with the associated financial documents requirements, obtain the necessary authorized signatures and make sure the said requests are submitted within the required timescales;
· Liaise with the InfraKos chief accountant and arrange for the Project accounts to be kept at the time and in the form required in the Financing Documents;
· Monitor and liaise with the appointed auditing companies, acceptable to the banks, ensure the audited Financial Statements are timely sent to the Financiers and in conjunction with InfraKos relevant departments draws up a time defined action plan to address any matters arising from the audit;
· Functions as a liaison for financial matters between InfraKos as project Beneficiary, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Ministry of Finance and project financing banks (EBRD and EIB), appointed Engineers and PIU Consultant;
· Participate in audit missions and on the-spot-checks and support the implementation of recommendations to be addressed;
· Maintain a register of bank guarantees and monitor their validity and need for extension;
· Maintain an archive of all payments-related documentation under the project;
· Coordinate all project related financial matters;
· Assist the Head of PIU in day to day implementation of financial procedures of the sub-projects;
· Assist with Head of PIU in identification of training needs and development organization of training plans and courses/sessions for both the program staff and those InfraKos civil servants who work for the program for building up their technical and management skills;
· Develop together with the PIU Support Consultant a communications and training plan and ensure adequate awareness of the financial related matters in InfraKos PIU as well as training and mentorship of designated InfraKos staff.
